Jenkintown has a limited number of shade trees to offer residents. There is no cost to the property owner.  If you would like to be considered for a tree, please send an email to JenkintownShadeTree@gmail.comcreate new email.  Hurry, as the trees are going to go quickly!

Be sure to include your name, phone number and street address in your email request.  A representative from the Shade Tree Commission will drive by your house and assess your lot based on criteria such as: overhead utilities, underground utilities, amount of space for the tree to grow, ect.  All trees must be visible from the street for all to enjoy.  There are 3 general categories of trees: small (under 30′), medium (30′-50′) and large (over 50′).

If approved for a tree, the planting will take place in early November.
