Jenkintown Police are on the lookout this summer for kids caught in the act of practicing pedestrian and bike safety around the borough.
Officers have more than 120 gift certificates that they’ll be using this summer to “ticket” borough kids they observe practicing roadway safety — like wearing helmets when biking, looking both ways before crossing and using crosswalks rather than the middle of the block. Jenkintown High School National Honor Society will be hosting the first annual Run for the Relay 5k on Saturday, May 2nd! The event will start at the high school track, where there will be activities such as face painting, entertainment, t-shirts, refreshments, and more! Proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
Come to run and come for fun!
Adults: $17. 50 pre-registration; $25 day of race
Students (18 and under): $15 pre-registration; $20 day of race
