Sanitary Sewer Main Project Update Tuesday, September 21, 2020 through Friday, September 25th

The Borough has been notified by the project contractor, National Water Main Cleaning Company, that the Public Sanitary Sewer Main Project will continue Tuesday, September 22nd through Friday, September 25th from 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.   The Sewer lining and cured in place pipe (CIPP) spot repairs have been completed and the contractor will begin pressure testing and grouting the lateral connections in the sanitary sewer main during this final phase.  The contractor has reported that there will be no disruption of service and no foul odor from chemical emittance.

PECO Junction Box Adjustment and Sidewalk Repair Project Update

The Borough has been notified by PECO’s subcontractor, Miller Bros. that the junction box adjustment and sidewalk repair project in the Jenkintown Borough business district will continue Monday, September 21st thru Thursday, September 24th from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM on York Road from West to Summit Avenues.   Flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control due to temporary lane closures along York Road.   Areas affected by this work will be posted with temporary ‘no parking’ signs to allow for the work to be completed safely.  Entrance to businesses will be maintained throughout this process.

PECO Accelerated Gas Infrastructure Modernization Project (AGIMP) Temporary Road Closures & Natural Gas Service Upgrades

PECO has completed installation of new gas mains and will begin natural gas service upgrades inside of homes on Runnymede and Cheltena Avenues for customers previously notified beginning on Monday, September 21st through Friday, September 25th from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  Runnymde Avenue between Myrtle Avenue and Walnut Street and Cheltena Avenue between Walnut Street and Cloverly Avenue will be closed to thru traffic 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM to allow for the service upgrades to be safely completed in this area.
