Free PPE Kits Available for Montco Small Businesses at Senator Haywood’s Roslyn Office

The Borough would like to share the following information provided by Senator Art Haywood’s office:

Senator Art Haywood’s office will be partnering with Montgomery County and the Alliance of Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce to distribute free PPE kits to small businesses from Thursday, November 19 – Monday, November 23 between 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Distribution will take place, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, at Senator Haywood’s Roslyn Office located at 1168 Easton Road, Abington PA 19001. Businesses and non-profits with 50 or fewer employees will be eligible for one to five kits based on total employees and while supplies last. Businesses may only receive a maximum of 5 kits from the county, not from each chamber. Each kit will provide enough PPE for at least 5 people. PECO Accelerated Gas Infrastructure Modernization Project Update

The Borough has just been notified by PECO’s subcontractor, Henkels & McCoy, that Walnut Street between Rodman and Runnymede Avenues will have TEMPORARY LANE CLOSURES and Runnymede Avenue between Walnut Street and Myrtle Avenue will have TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES today, November 18th until 3:00 PM to allow for service upgrades to be safely completed in these areas.   

Residents will continue to have access to their properties during this process.  If you do not reside on this road please take another route during these times to avoid disruption of your travels.

ROUTE 3 Leaf Collection: Partial Route Postponement

Due to the abundance of falling leaves and consistent rains this week, there will be temporary postponements in some areas along the Route 3 “Curbside Leaf Collection”, which were originally scheduled for today, November 13th.  All of Cottman Street and Nice Avenue and the 800 & 900 blocks of Greenwood & West Avenues will be postponed until Monday, November 16th.  The Route 4 collection scheduled for Monday, November 16th will resume without delay.

Borough Hall Closed for Veterans Day

Borough Hall will be closed Today, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.  Borough Hall will re-open tomorrow, November 12th by appointment from 10AM – 2PM.  If there is an emergency during this time, please dial 911.

There will be no disruption to trash and recycling collection. Trash and recycling will still be picked up on Friday, November 13th.

The Borough has been notified by PECO’s subcontractor, Henkels & McCoy, that Walnut Street between Rodman and Runnymede Avenues will have temporary lane closures tomorrow, November 11th from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM and Runnymede Avenue between Walnut Street and Myrtle Avenue and Florence Avenue between Rodman and Runnymede Avenues will have temporary road closures tomorrow, November 11th from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM to allow for service upgrades to be safely completed in these areas.
