2014 LEAF COLLECTION

From mid-October until mid-December, the Jenkintown Public Works Department works through the Borough to collect leaves along the curb. The Public Works Department has outlined a 5 route schedule that will collect leaves along streets on certain days. Leaves do not need to be bagged. WEST AVENUE ROAD CLOSURE – PLANNED PECO NIGHT WORK

West Avenue will be closed for the PECO gas main installation project between York Road and Leedom Street, starting tonight, Monday, September 22nd through Thursday, September 25th from 8:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. This portion of the project is scheduled in the evening to limit disruption to residents/businesses and is expected to last one week. Please plan to use alternate routes during the time period called out above.

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE FOR REPAIR – HILLSIDE AVENUE

Hillside Avenue will be closed for repairs between Cedar Street and Leedom Street, Tuesday, September 16th from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. This road repair has been escalated to the highest priority due to the deteriorating condition of the sub-base. The project will consist of milling, repair of the sub-base, paving and sealing. Please adjust your driving routes accordingly to avoid delays during this project. Accommodations will be made for residents directly affected to access their residence during construction. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated as we continue to address infrastructure repairs throughout the Borough.
