Abandoned Scripts Turn In

The Jenkintown Police Department, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and the Montgomery County Chiefs of Police Association will sponsor a drug take back day on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 10AM to 2PM.  You can drop off any unused or expired medications at the Jenkintown Police Department 700 Summit Avenue.  Officers will be on hand to collect your medications.

Fire Prevention Week

This week is Fire Prevention Week, and the Fire Departments of Jenkintown are hosting an event in the Town Square on Thursday, Oct. 8th, 6:30 – 8:30 pm.  The parking lot at the Town Square will be closed for the event.  It’s a nice event to teach kids about fire prevention, and to come out and say thanks to our volunteers who work so hard for our community. 7th Annual Chili Cook-Off & Pie-Eating Contest in Town Square (Re-Scheduled)

Bust out your classic chili recipe for Jenkintown’s 7th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Pie-Eating Contest, and compete for your share of $200 in cash prizes plus the chance to stake your claim as Chili Royalty of Jenkintown. Annual 4th of July Parade

The Jenkintown Volunteer Fire Department is once again proud to sponsor the Borough’s Annual Fourth of July celebration on Saturday July 4th with a Rain Date of Sunday July 5th

The starting time for this year’s parade will be 11:30 A.M with the parade beginning at Town Square and proceeding up Leedom Street to Hillside Avenue.  Then from Hillside Avenue, the Parade will continue to Walnut Street then proceed to West Avenue before finishing back at the Town Square.  Line up for the Parade will be on Leedom Street along the firehouse and on Summit Avenue in front of Borough Hall.

Festivities will take place in Town Square immediately following the parade. We hope to see you all there!
