The 2020 Census Needs Your Help!

The 2020 Census Needs Your Help! Please Encourage Your Neighbors, Friends and Families to Respond Now
Your response matters. The census can shape many different aspects of your community.  Health clinics, fire departments, schools; even roads and highways are affected by census data.

Montgomery County has hit a slight lull with self-response.  The current self-response rate is 72.6%.  You can help by asking your neighbors, friends and families to  opens in a new windowrespond now.

About the 2020 Census

The U.S. Constitution mandates a census of the population every 10 years. The 2020 Census will count everyone who lives in the U.S. as of April 1, 2020. Census statistics help determine the number of seats each state holds in the U.S. House of Representatives and how billions of dollars in federal funds will be allocated by state, local, and federal lawmakers every year for the next 10 years.

PECO Update: Accelerated Gas Infrastructure Modernization Project (AGIMP) Monday, June 15th thru Friday, June 19th

Installation of New Gas Mains
The Borough has been notified by PECO’s subcontractor, Henkels & McCoy, that the Accelerated Gas Infrastructure Modernization Project (AGIMP) will continue Monday, June 15th.  Walnut Street between Hillside and West Avenues will have temporary lane closures for approximately one week beginning Monday, June 15th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM to allow for the installation of new gas mains to be safely completed in this area.  Flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control due to temporary lane closures.
